Lipstick test! Please share the results! I need a whole list of dangerous items?
Watch out for those lipsticks which are supposed to stay longer. If your lipstick stays longer, it is because of the higher content of lead. Here is the test you can do yourself:
1. Put some lipstick on your hand.
2. Use a gold ring to scratch on the lipstick.
3. If the lipstick color changes to black, then you know the lipstick contains lead.
In my make-up bag I've found 2 dangerous lipsticks - Bourjois Pour La Vie (I love Bourjois! But evidently, they don't love me) and L'Oreal Invincible Kiss.
I don't understand people who thumbs-down other people's answers! I think it's a very important issue and we should be aware of it!

italy, Ireland, France, Germany, Austria - those are countries mentioned on my make up packaging... I am afraid the American FDA is helpless here 
I do prefer lipgloss, too - but my friends just give me lipsticks now and then....

I wish I had some real gold to try on my Revlon lipstick that has an 8 hour long staying power....I'll ask my mom if I can borrow one of her rings next time I see her...
I honestly don't wear lipstick very often though... I don't like the taste of it. And in the U.S. lip glosses are what's really in style right now. I do wear lip balm and lip glosses. I like my lips to look shiny.
I do think you are right... if lipstick has lead in it that is something to be really concerned about. I think that is a really cool test you found for figuring that out about your lipstick... Thanks for the tip!
